Home from Afghanistan

My friend Cheryl has seen her husband leave for Iraq twice and the Afghanistan. Tough for them all. Kyle is finally home after his tour. Cheryl sent this e-mail:


Good morning! Kyle arrived safely at home a little after 10 p.m. last night! He called me at school yesterday about 3:00 to say he was finished with outprocessing at Ft. Benning and they were taking him to the airport in Atlanta. It was a surprise that it happened that quickly, but Sylvia and I jumped in the car as soon as school was out and headed for the airport. (Then, of course, his flight was delayed three or four times and he didn't get there until 8:00!) He has lots of unpacking, sleeping, and eating to do, to catch up on life in the real world, but we are so glad he's home and I know he will be happy to see and talk to everyone.

Thanks again for your support. We couldn't ask for better family and friends.
