Saturday we had a little party for Sean. We kept it small on purpose. January has never been a good month for parties. We invited David's parents and two other children. Wouldn't you know the one little boy we invited was sick? But things happen. We had a good time any way. David's dad came. He doesn't like to travel much so we were surprised when he actually show up. Today was church. Sean has a bit of a runny nose. I don't think he's quite up to par. We had some gift cards to Red Lobster so we "dined fine" today.....I actually had lobster tell and snow crab legs amongst other things....mmmmm. We hit Toys R Us with money Mamaw Ketchie sent. We had a $3.00 off coupon so we shopped for some toys. We had a birthday card to cash in...so Sean got a balloon, a crown, and a special announcement over the intercom in the store. He thought that was neat.
Kids choir tonight...we may have pushed the limit on being out too late this afternoon.
I talked to mom today. I hate it so that she is there alone. Friday , January 25 it was 7 years since dad died. I got a little teary eyed during school the other day, but overall held my own. It's
much easier now that it was the first few years. I used to take of Jan. 25 every year that I was working just to do something "fun" for myself. This year I didn't feel the need to do that.
