Let's Try It Again!

Ok, let's trying blogging again about Easter and this and that!

Sunday we got up and went to the 8:00 service at church. We got home before 10:00 and I started in on Easter Dinner. David's mom, dad, brother and sister in law and their children came over. They got here around 3:15 so my kids were getting hungry by then. It went well and by the time we cleaned up the kids were exhaused and it was 15 min. till church..so we missed getting to go.

Monday my friend Teresa and her two kids came up. She left about an hour ago. WE had a good visit. WE go back since kindergarten and graduated high school together. My heart is heavy for her. He husband had a stroke in early Dec. and he is still not able to drive at all and can hardly walk without help. Alot of "unknown" things came to light about their marriage and now it's a mess. He's at his mother's now. She struggles with emotions and being hurt, finances are really difficult, and she's really all alone. Her dad died in a car accident in 1999( she was on her way to see me and I got a call at the Christian school I was teaching at. It was Teresa in tears. A highway patrolman pulled her over as she was going across the VA line to tell her she needed to go back to NC...her dad had been in an accident. Her mother died in 2002...She had a fall in a grocery store ( her artificial hip broke) and she went in the hospital for surgery. That was the same weekend Teresa and some other friends and family were giving me a baby shower for Daniel. She obviously couldn't attend the shower. A few days later her mother died from a clot to the lung. She has one brother that she's talked to once in the last year. She cried last night after talking to someone on the phone who said a few things that should have not been said. We putted around with her kids and mine, raided my cabinets for extra groceries she could take back and I got her some groceries when we went out. She feels so alone. I'm glad for a good church family she has. Pray for her if she comes to mind.

We've worked on AWANA verses and now I'm resting a bit before Bible Study. We are going to see my other on Friday to Sunday and then school starts again on Monday.
