Nothing much to blog about....several things I want to journal in but I'm not quite ready to organize my thoughts on them. So........
Yesterday I had school....more 5th and 6th grade. Their teacher was to come back today. I planned a day off. Sean and I are hanging out in Winged Deer Park with his little friend Gabby..or Gabby Girl as we affectionately call her. It's a happy meal and some fun in the sun. I'm glad Daniel is doing well and k-5, but I miss days like this with him.
Had a Sunday School leadership meeting last night. Our class will be splitting in the fall....our teacher till take an 8:00 class. I'm ok with it, but little sad too. It takes a while to build friendship in a big place like our church. But.....the ultimate goal isn't just about fellowship, and it's not about me, so we'll survive. We enjoy our teacher alot....and if we stay at the 11:00 hour, I feel it will be a good thing too. You know how change is the older you get.....
Talked to my friend Ann last night ( Hey Ann if you are reading this!) She taught 5th grade in NC when I was teaching 3rd grade. It was good to hear her voice.
My friend Teresa called too....keep praying for her. She has a lot on her shoulders right now and needs wisdom to make decisions.
David is sitting at the table, reading a paper, eating his breakfast. He is a man of "order". I am a woman of "organized chaos". Really..I know what I'm doing....but not that the average person could look at tell...ha! He's a better house wife than I am ! Good man....he's so quiet..I'm so NOT!
( No comments on that one...grin)
We had a potluck meal Sunday after our Sunday school class to raise money for missionaries our class is hosting next week during our missions conference. I made this spaghetti salad...mmmm..I love it...so easy...so good.
SPAGHETTI SALAD
1 lb. thin spaghetti1
lg. green pepper,
diced2 lg. tomatoes, diced
1 onion, diced
1 cucumber, diced
1 (18 oz.) bottle Viva Italian dressing
1 jar McCormick salad supreme seasoning (do not substitute this seasoning)
Cook spaghetti; drain well and rinse with cold water. Mix spaghetti and vegetables and salad
dressing. Chill over night or a few hours before serving.
"This is the day the Lord has made...REJOICE, and be glad in it!"
Blessings!
LuAnn

Hey,
Thanks so much for the comment on my blog. I jumped over here to check you out. I know that I have been here before.
Great test. I have no desire to be anything but what God can use. I don't need the achievements of the world. I just want to know God. I just want to be the best wife, mom, and friend that I can be for God's glory... and you are exactly right... if I really knew you.. and I were your friend right there where you are... I would under-estimate your weight... because I am too busy worrying about mine. LOL.
I will visit again, I am sure.
