The drive was long, but we finally arrived in Manteo around noon.
We ate at Big Al's...a totally Coca Cola motif place. We drove over to where the Lost Colony is performed. What a beautiful site! Our motel is right across from the Wright Brother's memorial. The kids enjoyed a nice afternoon on the beach building sand castles, playing in the ocean and flying kites. We cleaned up a bit and ate at Applebee's ( I know, try something new, but we were tired, hungry, and not patient enough to hunt for something) We went to the Bodie Island lighthouse before it got too dark. I just LOVE lighthouses. The only downside was all the mosquitoes...about three tried to carry me off and that ain't no easy task! We'll take the bug spray for sure next time.
David will upload some photos later. I've been a bit distracted on this trip....checking on "KOREA" and the adoption happenings with Kellie and Preston and new baby Elizabeth.
So exciting.

Those are beautiful pictures and your boys are precious.
I love lighthouses too.

Glad you got there safe and sound. Looks like the boys had a fun day. I am kind of obsessed with checking Kellie's blog for new pictures of Elizabeth.....we might need counseling....maybe we can get a group rate.
I will need to join that group also! I have been checking Kellie and Preston's blog about 100 times a day. If they got paid for hits they would be wealthy!! lol
