Sometimes I think I meet myself coming! For real! I got home about 7:00 tonight. Daniel and I did his reading homework, the kids got a bath, and I gave them 30 extra minutes to stay up. My poor husband hasn't had me to cook supper for ...well...like a while now!!! yikes!
Pray Pray Pray.....
Angie Bundy, mother of Gavin , the fourth grader at my school will have surgery tomorrow in Kingsport , TN. Plans to take her to Texas fell through when the hospital couldn't see her till October. Things are urgent. Gavin is such a witness for Jesus and His goodness. Today his teacher told us in staff mtg. that Gavin prayed for her out loud, and although he ask Jesus to help this heal his mommy, more of his prayer was thanking God for all His blessings. What a lesson to learn from a child....that God is good even in the hard time. Like I said before, when I grow up...I want to be like Gavin. God bless his little heart! Thanks for being prayer warriors for her.
Her husband posted this on his on line journal. I thought I'd share:
Good Afternoon to all our family and friends,
Angie’s MRI from yesterday revealed an increase in the swelling and edema. This has caused more pressure, the result has been a significant rise in her symptoms. Her speech is slurred, she is very unstable, she can’t walk, she is confused, and cant stay awake. Her pre-surgical visit to Dr Smith’s office turned into a direct admission the hospital. She is in Holston Valley Medical Center in Wilcox Hall.
During our consult with Dr Smith, he was very positive that these symptoms would be mitigated post operatively and that he could accomplish another complete resection.
The schedule is as follows:
Angie is right now getting IV’s initiated that will deliver a plethora of pharmaceuticals that should reduce her pain levels. She will rest this evening in Wilcox Hall and early in the morning (6ish) will get taken to the Operating Room for a 730 start time for the operation. There is no way of knowing how long the procedure will take, but I am certain it will be greater than 4 hours. I will publish during the procedure as I get information and I will publish after I speak with the surgeon when he gives me information.
Linda is getting Gavin from school and bringing him to visit his mommy. Angie’s sister and Cindy are also both on the way.
Angie says – “That God brought her through brain surgery before and He will do it again, please keep us in your prayers.”
I also thank you for your prayers!

Thanks so much for sharing this. Just tonight I thought I wonder how Gavin's Mom is. God must have put her on my heart. I'll be praying.
I'm on cold medicine and can't sleep. I'm praying right now for your friend. God will provide.
