We all have much to be thankful for and yet we often are very "Thankless" people. Me included. I'm big on having my children say "Please" and "Thank You" to other and to their parents. I wonder how often our heavenly father hears "thankful praise" in a days time in contrast to cries for help. I'm thankful he hears our pleas for assistance. I just wonder if he's like me as a parent...wishing I'd get more "I love you Mommy's" than the tattling and the cries for help with a sibling that is not doing as the other sibling thinks he should at the time. Scripture has much to say on gratitude and thankfulness....
I was so proud of my oldest "MUNCHKIN". We ate Thanksgiving lunch at my in laws. The food was ready and some of the family started making plates..mostly just getting the kids plates ready. Daniel bounced through the house and said " But we haven't said the blessing!"...to which my brother in law replied...."relax, we haven't started eating!". I had to chuckle. I am glad that they know that in our house, before we eat we thank God for what we have. Seems small, but it made and impression on Daniel. So he thinks everyone should do that. And you know what...he's right!
Happy Thanksgiving from my little corner of the world to yours!

"Out of the mouths of babes..."
How proud that makes a parent feel.
Luann...
Thanks so much for the reminder of what our parent ears want to hear... and what our Father's ears want to hear as well. You are so right... I love to hear my children say that they love me; I am sure that God loves to hear my praise and thanksgiving too.
Please to His ears... that is what I want to be.
Thanks so much for sharing this,
Lynn
Hey skinny,
You are looking great!! 36 pounds, you go girl!! You know if you haven't already, it's time to buy some new clothes and show off that girlish figure!!
I'll be praying for strength through the holidays. Keep it up. I still want that girl night out...maybe sometime before our children are grown.
LOL! God bless.

I'm big on "thank-you's" too.
I sure tried to teach my kiddos to say thank you when they were growing up. I think about that often too, with God & try to keep that in mind and thank Him for every blessing....often.
Sounds like you all had a nice Thanksgiving. It won't be long until Christmas break! :)
