Poor Kitty!

I got up around 5:45 to get my day started and see David a few minutes before he left for a week long trip to Knoxville for his second Microsoft training class. He was doing his usual routine which includes feeding our four cats and then letting them outside for the day. He came to get me and said my cat "Little One" was not well....he was dragging his back legs and breathing irregularly. I'd seen this before in another cat David had when we first got married...we thought it was a spinal chord injury. Vet wasn't open and the emergency clinic is all the way out in Blountville. I knew the cat wouldn't survive a trip there. Awful as it sounds I was just wanting someone to put the cat out of it's misery. About 6:10 I went back out to check on him and he was gone. Sigh. So David stopped rushing to get out the door and we found a box and proceeded to bury the cat. He was the healthiest cat in the bunch. I hated to tell the kids..I still don't think they really understand. I'm so grateful that David was here to help with it. The christian school called for a sub and I must have missed the call. Time I dropped Daniel off and got home they had found a sub. Would have been a nice diversion..oh well....now at 10:00 I have the take our cat Bubba to the vet to get stitches removed. WE don't usually spend a lot on our cats....oh, we take care of them, but as far as our lives revolving around them we don't do that....Kind of strange the cat "woes" we've have recently....such is life! When I took my other cat to the vet to get some stitches out this morning, he said it sounded like Little One threw a blood clot.
What a way to start a day....just glad he didn't lay around all day and suffer.
