Far far behind

I know when my friend Patty has like 4 entries before I get one in that I'm behind on my blogging! so much going on..I may miss something! Daniel has had field trips, parties, etc. at school. We went to see my mother this past weekend in Statesville, NC. Her brother, my uncle Walter has been married 60 years and his children hosted a reception for Uncle Walter and Aunt Pauline. It was nice to see family. My mother is one of 8 and all are living but one brother.

I got to see my former pastor's wife at her home and also got to see my brother . He rode the boys around on the golf cart and the boys love to see his dogs. We saw my Aunt Martha, my dad's sister. She took the boys to Wal-mart to "prod" them to see what they wanted for Christmas. She's really good to them..I think she sort of "fills in" for my dad since he never got to be here to do things with them. Sunday I went to church across the street from my mother's home where my former pastor's son preaches. It was so nice to look in the choir and see that the whole back row, almost, was made up of former students, some married, some graduating from college this year, some almost out of school. They all grinned when they saw me and waved. Pam, the pastor's wife said they said "That's Miss Ketchie!" Pam told them yes, but I was not Miss Ketchie anymore. I'll always be Miss Ketchie. Those were good days teaching. I also saw a few other folks I knew from my day at my home church, Southview Baptist. We came home Sunday and started a short school week. Daniel had his part at school Tues and David had his work dinner. I couldn't go because I had to work on Tuesday at Half Time. Today I got up at 6:00 to go to the chiropractor. Tomorrow we'll go to David's parents in VA and then Friday we think we are taking the boys to Dollywood. Saturday is a "girl's day out" with Patty, Mechelle and I'm not sure who else in Pigeon. I am looking forward to that.

Here are a few photos!
