Graduation day and this and that!

I sent my oldest off to the last day of K-5! He graduates tonight and I couldn't be prouder. His brother just knows that the last day of school means we are that much closer to going to the beach! Grandma Walker was sick last night...so we are crossing our fingers she'll be well enough to come. We had a cake at Wal-mart to pick up and some gradation napkins I bought a long time ago to find! ( Ever do that? buy something and then can't find it?)

My heart is saddened on two accounts. I found out my former pastor and dear friend Al Price passed away Monday and his funeral is today. Pastor Price was a dear friend to my dad in some hard times.

I was also saddened to learn that the 5 year old daughter of CCM artist Steven Curtis Chapman was killed when struck by a car her brother was driving. Can you imagine the pain of the brother? The Chapman's have three adopted children from China, the 5 year old girl being one of them. I posted a photo of the family. Pray for that mom and dad , the siblings, and the brother was driving the car. I understand it happened at the family home...an accident....a tragedy.

We had AWANA awards last night. The kids both finished their books this year.

American Idol....I missed it....no problem. I would have been disappointed anyway. Sorry bethanne....I'm just an Archie fan.

Off to clean. I'm posting photos of graduation as soon as I have some!

I heard about the accident on the radio today. :( So sad and I can not imagine what the brother is going through as well as the rest. Prayers for them as they go through this trying time.

P.S. Please don't tell my momma about those cigarettes. LOL

I just found out about the Chapmans...my heart is breaking for them. My brother lives just outside Franklin, TN. I watched some of his video blogs...a real down to Earth guy. May God richly bless them and supply ALL his power to sustain them in this sad time.

I feel very bad for the Chapman's son and, of course, the whole family. They are in my prayers. I'm also praying that you will still get 2nd grade next school year even thought they already told you that you won't. If it's God's will, you'll have it.
