Hatteras Lighthouse
On the ferry from Hatteras to Ocracoke
The sand dunes were a hit with the kids!
I really don't know exactly where to pick up with pics...we spent Thursday at Hatteras and Ocracoke. Gorgeous! Hatteras and I are best friends now..at least one spot that became the "giving spot" for shells. If you just stand there long enough the ocean brings them to you...no lie...nice ones too. I was thrilled. Here are some misc. photos of the last few days. Thursday we enjoyed Ocracoke alot and also climbed the Hatteras light house. The view is breathtaking. Friday we spent the morning in Hatteras , ate at a great little joint called "Jason's" and then headed back to Nag Head for another overnighter. The shells are definitely best at Hatteras and Ocracoke.
The white lighthouse is the light at Ocracoke. Cute little village.
Glad to be home in a way and missing the "experience" too. Good overall trip. Tomorrow we'll rest up and Tuesday begins the "real" summer routine.
Grateful for a NICE TIME with family.

The pic of you son asleep with the patch is A-dorable!!!
Thanks for sharing your trip, looks like you guys had a great time!
You guys take great pictures! I especially like the one with the man looking out into the sea at daybreak. It looks professional and tells a story without saying a word.
Hey Luann,
I haven't visited in a while and thought I would come by and say, "Howdy!!" (Jacob thinks it is just soooo funny when mommy says that...one year olds are so easy to impress). Your vacation looked fun..we just started ours yesterday at Litchfield beach (about 20 miles south of myrtle). It was 105 yesterday...I'm not sure how much "outside" time we will get, but that's okay. Anyway, I wanted to tell you that I read your comment on Beth's site about WW and if you could at all join the First Place class this fall, I think you would find that it is a wonderful resource for helping us "food addicts." I really feel that the Spiritual component, Scripture memorization, and support of brothers and sisters in Christ makes it far superior to WW. And besides buying your member kit and Bible study (around $100) it is free. Anyway, just thought I throw that out there because it is really wonderful!!! I'm praying about teaching a class myself this fall...I think the Lord may want me to and also it would keep me in the accountability loop. Thanks for sharing your vacation pics...see you in a few weeks...maybe.
God bless.
those are some great pictures. Especially like the gentleman talking to God
Thanks for sharing your vacation. Your 100% right about a picture is worth a 1000 words. I love light houses and Virginia and North Carolina have some of the best. I have several replicas in my office.
Thanks for being Beth's and Donna's friend and for praying for Donna last week. Still got the Rapture Question going on at my blog and by the way, I didn't see my blog on your favorites. Now let's do something about that. God bless.
Hi Luann :) I loved your pics! Must confess to being a little jealous - we love Hatteras so much. Glad the trip was a good one!
Blessings, Q
Hi Luann~
Just wanted to say thanks for checking in with our adoption process and for your prayers. We are truly grateful for them.
It looks like you're having a great trip. Enjoy the rest of your vacation!

I loved your pictures! I can say that in all honesty :-) I saw Poor Richards! I used to eat there during the work week sometimes!
The black flies are really bad when the wind blows a certain way and they do bite!
I need to get up with you about the Simulcast at your church. I'm going out of town this weekend (my daughters wedding), but I need to get tickets before they are all gone!
Prayers and Love,
Teri
