Wednesday Wanderings

Titles are getting harder and harder to come up with.....hmmmm

So......... I spent Tuesday at Mom's day out with some great little kids. We water painted "seahorses" and "crabs" on paper and the kids seemed to enjoy it. The Half-time staff each brought 2 salad items and we put the food in a spare room. After serving "pizza pasta" to the cherubs we all took turns making a salad. mmmmmm
I love a good salad. I'm learning on Weight Watchers that you can add points up really quickly with all the "GOODIES" but I did pretty good yesterday with the salad fest.

I had my appointment at the chiropractor yesterday. I feel really good after an adjustment. I have no real back problems that would require surgery and such, but I do get out of "whack"...always have...started in my early 20's....so, I go for check ups. This chiropractor does "therapy" and its the closest thing to spa treatment I'll get.

I've told myself that when I lost 15 pounds I'm going to get a pedicure. Love 'em. I've only ever had like 2 or 3. I go to a little place called "Nail Envy" and I really can't understand a word they say. However, the lady that usually does my nail has a husband and a brother who help her. The husband had done my nails the last few times and his English is some better. I've learned that he is a great photographer ( I've seen his work from Vietnam), he moved here from Gate City (Yes, Patty..same guy) and that they sleep a lot on Sundays. I also learned his son who is now in his twenties used to go to the Bristol Campus of Tri-Cities Christian....imagine. I would love to know enough Vietnamese to talk about the "Lord" more effectively.

Today we are going swimming with our friends Amy ( the mom) and Gabby at their home. They have invited our friends Jessica (the mom) and Christian to come over as well. Sean and Gabby are quite the cutest things together and Sean really likes Christian. Daniel does well with them , but he is not with that group as much as Sean.

I have an unspoken prayer request....would you pray with me on that one? Thanks!

My Uncle Bill is in the hospital in Salisbury , NC with complications from some kind of bite. He works in the woods a lot and with farm equipment so no telling what it was. His hand is swollen and alot of the tissue has been damaged from infection. My aunt was going to let me know tonight how he was and if surgery to remove the dead tissue was necessary. This is my dad's brother and he lives in Statesville, NC.

All this election talk gets to me some days. I know my heart and how I'll vote, but both parties distress me on many levels. I loves James Dobson and he's been hit recently with criticism for his outspokenness on how he feels on issues. God Bless him.

I love Mark Lowry's comedy. I think I've found my candidate!

I could use a good chuckle today, so I'll leave you with this:
