One Last Summer Hurrah!

I worked in my room today for a little while. It was so rainy. We had plans to go to Bristol, TN to Steel Creek Park and the rain quickly changed that. Low and behold in the afternoon the rain lifted and we were able to go with our friend Amy and her daughter Gabby to ride the train that has recently reopened. The kids had a ball. Here are some photos:

The Beth Moore Simulcast is tomorrow at many churches all across the nation. Our church is one of those. Keep our team in prayer as we coordinate this event.
Blessings!

Is that train at Steeles Creek? Jacob will love that and we live pretty close. I always learn "something" from you. I soooo looking forward to tonight...pray satan doesn't try to ruin it for me. Jacob has been acting terrible so far this morning and with my dad in the hospital, I could see how my plans might be rearranged. I want to help my family as much as I can, but the Lord knows I NEED this weekend...I am dry and parched and need some "corporate" worship with some Siestas. Thanks for all you have done to make it possible for the ladies of TCBC.

Love ya,

Amanda

Steel's Creek Park! Wow! I haven't been there in many, many years. I remember when it first opened. If I'm not careful, I'll reveal my old age here. I've played golf there, fished there, picniced there, waded in the water there. Just had almost forgot about that place. Tell I don't get around much when I get back to Tenn. Thanks for the reminder.
Amanda, I'm praying that God give you a great weekend and that Holy Water from heaven will flood your soul and that the parchment will subside and refreshment will take over your thoughts and cares. God bless you young lady.

I don't get to attend the simulcast but will definitely be praying for Beth & her team and for your church and all the churches who are hosting this special event.

I love the pictures. Looks like a fun place. I'm glad the rain lifted.

Also I wanted to tell you how proud I am of your weight loss. 15 pounds! That's so great. Way to go!

Have a great weekend. I'll be looking forward to hearing about the event.

Love,
Valerie

Sorry I won't be able to be at the church this weekend. Somehow I let the time slip up on me and did not get my tickets. I promise that I will be praying for the team and all those who are there that the Lord would bless in a mighty way. I also will be praying for you that the Lord will give you focus on your responsibilities but most importantly that you will gain knowledge and wisdom also.
