I feel like I will be an MIA on this blog..I hope not. What a whirlwind of a week..my over 40 body is feeling the difference in full time work. It's been a good week getting to know the Staff at our school at all the campuses. Orientation went well today. One sweetie cried the whole time and later decided to talk to me and said "Mrs. WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAlKER..sniff sniff......I neeeed a tissue!" . Those were her first words to me...we quickly got her a tissue and she said " They say you'll be my teaaaaaaaaaaaaaacher" sniff sniff...I told her I would and she wanted to know if I'd be there on Monday. I assured her I would. She said "Ok..sniff sniff...they say you'll be my teacher....I'll be there"...it was comical and yet it wasn't....Kindergarten is a big new world to them.
Here are some pics:
I spent the evening voting in the elections here and then ran to Kohl's to cash in some Kohl's cash I had earned.
I spent the last hour watching Larry King Live interview Steven Curtis Chapman, his wife, and their three oldest children. What an amazing display of God's grace and yet telling the story as "humans". If I read it correctly I believe Larry King is somewhat of an agnostic. I applaud our God for using the Chapman's and a window to his grace and goodness even in times of early tragedy.
One more day of in-service and then the kids come on Monday.
I hope to spend the weekend with my sweeties. Sean told me today as we were leaving school , "Mommy , can I tell you what my heart is feeling ? It's feeling that I need to watch Veggie Tales". Where do they get these things from? Anyone know a good counselor for kids addicted to Veggie Tales?
On the flip side, those Veggie do teach some great truths. He reminded me tonight that God is always with us....he just didn't know his mommy needed that word at that moment. Out of the mouth of babes..........

I think you got spammed by lotto guy OR are you hoping to win a jackpot???
Hang in there you will be back in the swing of things in no time.
Your room looks so nice!
How well I remember being in your shoes.....for 17 years I did this - getting my room ready and meeting my students and parents.
I'll keep you in prayer for sure on Mon.
I watched Larry King last night too. It was very good. Their family has incredible faith.
Have a nice weekend with your family.
