Daniel did very well this morning. The medicine they give them to make them groggy is wild to watch at work. Daniel went from fine, to semi-defiant ( nothing major, mind you) but he was pulling away thinking he could still walk when he couldn't. He then got weepy for about a minute , them went to try to play with the train table in the doctors office. I had to sit on the floor and hold him in my lap. He was weaving all over the place. Sean had similar drugs last year when he had his surgery and he just got "goofy" and "sleepy". When they came to get Daniel he was handling the medicine better and walked in on his own. Dr. Smith is a young doctor. He said Daniel was a good boy and did well. He's slept most of the day.
I need to be cleaning. My dad's sister and my cousin are coming for the weekend. We plan to hit Dollywood Saturday , then they'll come to church with us Sunday and go home Monday evening. Did I mention I do NOT like to clean? Really, David is my salvation in that area. I'm creative alright, just not in the domestic area.
It's nice to have a day off. Kindergarten is going well, but like I said, I'm tireder than I imagined. I have sweet kids those and only 10. We are going to teacher's convention the last week of September. It's usually in Murfeesboro but this year it's in Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge. I'm trying to talk David to coming up with the kids on Friday and me just staying the night with them so we can have some family time on Saturday. He's chewing it over!!!!!
I've been tagged by Patty...so here goes:
*If you are tagged, you must first post the rules:* Write 7 strange characteristics about yourself. They interest us all!* Tag 6 other people at the end of your Post.* Visit everyone that you have tagged and leave a comment on their blog to let them know that they have been tagged.
1. I have a fetish about lunchboxes. I love em! My kids would have a new cool one every
year if I had my way about it.
2. I don't like people touching my face. It's a long story, but a makeover probably isn't in the cards for me unless I really know you well.
3. I would love to be a "Beth Moore" someday...I know, that's not so strange, but the strange part is why I think I could. Talking isn't a problem but you do need to have a purpose in what you are saying.
4. I would like to be an assistant principal. Why assistant I don't know, but I don't want to be a principal.
5. I have to re-check a hotel room like 7 times before I'll let David check out. I know...OCD ( or maybe it's just ODD ...you know "odd".)
6. Don't even hand me a dish with an olive in it.....ugh.....but I love to use Olive oil.
7. The strangest thing is I'm having a hard time thinking of strange things!!!!
I tag Valerie, Nancy, and I'll have to think on more to tag..Bethanne and Patty took them all!!!

Those are interesting things about yourself. I did one a while back that had six things I believe.
You could be a Beth Moore someday. You have a good start at being an Asst. Principal. Can't say that olives are my favorite thing either. Now, the lunch box fetish I'm not really sure about! I vote with you about a family weekend. Do you need me to speak to David on your behalf reminding him you are a full time working Mom now and need rest and relaxation time not to mention family bonding time?
I am so glad that Daniel did well today. I was praying for him.
If I touch your face on Sunday, what would happen? Just curious. My sister does not like to be touched either -- I personally, hate for anyone to touch my stomach - hate it - it was tough when I was pregnant and everyone wanted to pat my belly. I allowed it then, but do it now and I might smack you hard!!! ;-)
I love olives - my kids love them too - I cant believe you couldnt come up with 7 strange things --- I could have written 97 without batting an eye.
Have fun at Dollywood while the rest of us losers are doing nothing fun.
Well, I MEANT about me, but if the shoe fits........hahahaha just kidding
Just stopped in to say hello. I am so glad school is going well and your boys are doing well also.
I could see you doing a "Beth Moore" like ministry. You not only are not afraid to speak in public - But you really do have something to say.
At the Simulcast you had written in your notes some really great pearls that you drew out of Beth's teaching. You articulated them beautifully.
GOD has gifted you with wisdom and a gracious way of pouring it out to others.
Blessings,
Teri
