I guess I forgot how all consuming teaching could be...so once again I'm AWOL in the blogging world.
This is short...this morning we are off to Bristol for a little dental surgery for Daniel. It's not as extensive and what Sean had done last year, but none the less he has to be sedated more than I like. Say a little prayer for my substitute while I'm gone.
We got word that one of our elderly neighbors from Norton VA passed away. Mr. Daniel's had a huge field behind his house that was directly in front of ours. We had no yard to speak of so he'd let my boys play and run in his field. My thoughts are with his family.
I made myself go to my Beth Moore Study last night. Trust me, my flesh was not on board with that decision. I walked away with a thought that keeps running through my feeble tired brain this morning. "Spiritual maturity is learning that "Hard" does not always equal "bad" and "Easy" does not always equal "good". Don't we think that most times? I shudder to think of all the lessons I've missed or blessings I've passed over because I dwelt on the "hard" of the situation rather than the "God" of the matter.
Food for thought.

That is the same thing that I have been thinking about from last night (aka "The video fiasco")! Great minds think alike!
I have taken a whole new outlook on "hard" & "bad" versus "easy" & "good". What an eye-opener! I, too, have been thinking how hard I have made it on myself. God probably had much to tell me in the so-called "hard" times in my life. So glad to get that "Word" last night.
Hey LuAnn,
It's been a while and I wanted to stop by and say hello.
Thank you for your comment about San Antonio. I just loved every minute of it. I wished there were more of my blogging friends there to meet, but there will be another time.
Deeper Still is coming to OKC Dec. 4-5 of '09 and I would love it if all my friends would come to Oklahoma! You all have over a year to plan and save. ;)
I really did order my ticket yesterday. It's with Beth Moore, Kay Arthur & Priscilla Shirer. It'll be good. :)
I'm home for lunch for a bit and will catch up on all my friends' posts over the weekend.
I've been slow getting back into everything this week.
Have a nice, relaxing holiday weekend.
Love,
Valerie
