Keep Praying

My friend Beverly got her test results back. Her walk with the Lord amazes me. Here is her e-mail to me:

Thank you so much for praying at that early morning hour!

I got home about 10 AM and am not having any pain yet--just soreness.

The lump was cancerous. That's not the news I was wanting, but know God
is in control and will see me through. I had a wonderful support
team--Bill, David, Pastor John Parks, our pastor, and two of my good
friends who are breast cancer survivors--Marcell (a 19 year survivor) and
Rosie Stroud (a 11 year survivor). J.C. Parks also came by. The nurses
and doctors were kind, patient and supportive.

David is dating a wonderful Christian girl who had taken this week off
from work not knowing what all we would be going through. She is a widow
with no children. She is very expressive of her love and appreciation to
us. She joined East Side last night--so we are watching to see where
this relationship is leading. God is so good to give a good friend to
David, especially right now. He was the one who made the calls to family
about it being cancer and that was not an easy job.

Rebekah sent a beautiful fruit arrangement from Edible Creations--that
was so special.

I'm to go see Dr. Swaney on Monday, Sept. 15 to hear my options and to
find out what kind of cancer it is.

Do continue to keep me in your prayers!!!

Love,
Beverly

She is my dear friend ....please pray her treatments will be sufficient to keepthe cancer at bay.

On an up note I weighed in tonight...and was down 1 more pound..so I'm at 26.5! yahoo!

I hate that. But God knows what He is doing even when we dont get it. I will be praying.

Just prayed for Beverly and her family. We don't have to understand, but we can trust His plan. Glad she has friends like you and a support group of friends and family that will intercede for her to the Father.

Beverly is in my prayers. She seems to be going into this with the right attitude and strong faith in God.

Congrats on the weight loss. You are strong!
