Labor Day

Labor....when I think of "labor" I automatically think of childbirth. Done it twice and it was a lot of work both times. My niece just had a baby....cutie for sure. Bryson is her second child and she said it was pretty intense this time too. Even in light of the fact that most of us don't like work , at least not hard hard work, it doesn't seem to stop us from having more children. Someone called childbirth a "Labor of Love". How true is that. Motherhood is the hardest job you'll ever love.

I think of what Jesus did for us on Calvary....that, my friend is the truest picture of a Labor of Love. We someone have managed to dwindle the crucifixion down to simply a Bible story...forgetting the graphic details that went with a Roman Crucifixion..and that Jesus had the extreme kind of crucifixion...and yet knowing all that he would endure chose to do it anyway....wow..he must love us more than we could possibly imagine....

That is a true Labor of Love!
