Sunday was a foggy (or "Froggy" as David calls it) morning. David was sick so the kids and I headed out alone. We pulled into church and the parking lot was foggy too. Sean commented.."Mommy, the cross! the cross! ( we have a cross on the bank behind our parking lot at our church.) He said " I can't see the cross!!! But mommy, the cross is always there!" Whew...out of the mouth of babes. Have you ever "lost sight of the cross"?? Life just takes you in it's grips and blinds you from the fact that no matter what occurs that the Lord is always there? His act of love for us on the cross is not erased or undone and nothing has change. Hallelujah..the cross is still there!!!
I subbed at school today. I was the music teacher! Kind of enjoyed it. My list of things I've done at schools is quite long. You name it, I've probably done it except for being a principal...not sure that's my cup of tea anyway. I'm tired. I think I'll find a whole, crawl in and hide from my kids so I can take a nap!!!

Hey,
I found you on Beth Streets blog. I go to TCBC (4th love of my life behind God, my hubby, my Jacob, and then my Church...TCBC). Anyway, I met you once in nursery when I first found out I was pregnant. I had miscarried before and I was barely pregnant...I remembered we talked about you having your son later and what a joy he was. Well anyway, excited to find another blogger. I am new at this (started about 2 weeks ago), but I love it. I have always loved to write and I love to tell others about Jesus and how much I love Him. Check me out at onesacrifice.blogspot.com
Thanks,
Amanda Bowers (aka JCDisciple)
Hi Luanne! Thank you so much for stopping by my blog and taking the time to comment. Your words were so encouraging and I've enjoyed looking around your blog as well. Continue to follow the Lord and the dreams He has given you! All of you at TCBC were so gracious and I hope to return there again. It was such an honor to be there.
Blessings!

Luann, I read some of your posts also. You write very well and your message is true. I like the way you linked your son's loss of sight of the cross with the cross we all seem to lose sometimes. Your message is correct and a good reminder. I've always been taught that people generally make mistakes in the basics of whatever they do. It also applies to being a Christian. We make mistakes in the basics, i.e., losing focus on the Cross and wondering why things aren't going so well. You did a fine job of getting your point across!
