“When a train goes through a tunnel and it gets dark, you don't throw away the ticket and jump off. You sit still and trust the engineer.” Corrie Ten Boom
Blogging twice in one day...not my usual. I read a quote on line that jumped out at me. Made me think of Daniel again. He's a train boy. Loves 'em! Anything Thomas, anything Geo Trax, anything trains! You wouldn't believe the number of trains we own. We get them on e-bay, at yard sales, from friends who don't want their trains anymore. Sean is OK with trains...he just likes anything that rolls. I never gave riding on trains much thought. It's not a primary means of transportation these days. Think back to the days when it was! Every episode of Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman I ever watched opened with a train. If someone returned to her hometown of Boston they traveled by train. There was no getting off the beaten path. You boarded the train with your ticket and sat back for the ride. Unless you had a window seat sometimes the view was so clear as to where you were but you knew where you were going. They just had to trust the engineer to get them to the specified location that was on the ticket. I often worry about the "journey", the what ifs....the whys...not sitting back enjoying alot of the ride. My destination was set at Salvation, (heaven) and there is no changing of drivers...praise God. He is in full control and even when I can't quite make out where I am in life, he always knows exactly where I am on the journey, how I got there, and why I am there. Do you know Jesus? Is he in control of your life, your journey, your destination? All I can say is "All Aboard"...it's a journey you won't regret and don't want to miss out on.

All aboard! is right! Also, the cost of the ride has been paid in full. I like trains myself. In my mind, they take me back to a simpler time when people had respect for each other and believed in the one true God. Very nice post, Luann.
Great post. I'm a nostalgia nut, that's why I love Little House, Walton's, and Lori Wick novels.
I love Little House too..love to watch the re-runs on Hallmark. I like Dr. Quinn, Loves Comes Softly, the Walton and Christy...the movie especially.
