...than to be in Carolina! Yep, that where I was born and raised...NC. David took me home to see my mother for her birthday. We had planned to take her out to eat and had asked my brother and his wife along. That turned into a cookout at my nieces which proved to be a lot of fun. We got to visit with each other and Daniel and Sean got to play with cousins they don't see often.

Sunday we helped mom hook up a new VHS/DVD combo..I say "we"..really David was the mastermind behind all that..we went on a goose chase for a converter and a cable of some sort. Mom rewarded him by taking him to Cracker Barrel and we all enjoyed the fruits of his reward. After that we went out to the country where my dad's sister , Martha lives. Martha has always been a favorite Aunt of mine. Is it ok to have favorites? She has been so good to my kids and they enjoy playing on her "playground". It's like going to a park...no lie. We headed back to mom's and my friend Teresa popped by with her kids. I gave the kids a bath, put on their pj's and then gave them some supper. We loaded them up and headed back up the road. They slept the entire time. Sean rouses himself enough to walk in the house on his own accord and said " All that playing at Mamaw's makes me tired" and then he crashed on the couch. I was exhausted too. But it was a good trip to NC. My pics from aunt Martha's are still on the cell phone, but I've posted some from the cookout at my nieces.

Blessings!

Sounds like a lovely time of fellowship and remembrance. I'm an NC girl myself (actually a transplant), but I do love my life here.
