Tuesday Tales

Pretty good day for the Walker's so far. David headed back to work and the kids and I headed back to "Half-Time", the mother's day out program at our church. Daniel and Sean seemed to enjoy their day. Things seemed to flow in my room so that was good.
I have three year olds this summer. We talked about water and sand and shells. ( appropriate since we just got back from our trip) I had a box of brown sugar that was hard as a rock. So......... I shaved it down until I had homemade "sand". We colored a beach scene and then sprinkled the brown sugar over the glue to make sand and added a few shells on each one. Kind of cute if I do say so myself.

( Sean listening to the Lifeguard")

Our pastor's daughter is over the Half Time program. Her husband Jason came today as a "Lifeguard" and talked to the kids about water safety. He did a great job. After he was done he gave each kid a sample of sunscreen (Blue Lizard..and its good stuff! If you've never used it you should try it sometime!)
( My assistant Crystal...she's expecting a little girl...she's 24 weeks! She has two little boys!)

Good day and I'm glad.

Tomorrow I go for my check up. If it wasn't for the scales at that place it wouldn't be so bad! Oh well....face the music and get down to business with Weight Watchers! ha!

Who knew Jason was a lifeguard? hahahaha Too funny.

Here is my scale advice: When you step on take off your shoes, extra jewelry, get your hair cut the day before, etc. etc. Wear your lightest clothes and flip flops. Then make it clear to the nurse that she is not to say the amount you weigh out loud - you keep your eyes focused on anything but the numbers ---everyone is happy. At least that is what I do.......I always tell them not to say it out loud and I look away. Makes me feel almost skinny (almost ;-)

Just wanted to thank you for your prayers and card and especially for that sweet call when I was in the hospital. I am half-way back and hope to update my blog tomorrow. God is so good! I have learned soooooooooooo much this past week. His grace is sufficient! A little note on the check-up dilemma - don't worry about the weight. Last week when I could not keep anything down and everything made me sick, I prayed for the ability to eat and when I finally did IT WAS WONDERFUL even though I am 20 pounds overweight! I also enjoyed the vacation pics. Tell David I love the old gentleman watching the sunrise.

Okay, I just browsed through your vacation pics and OMG, it looked just like our vacation to the OB. Brought back fun memories!
