Pastor is still preaching on "service"...it's been a challenging series. I had extended session today so I didn't make it to Sunday school since extended session for me happens during Sunday School time ( or my SS time). And hey Patty...I forgot to tell you I wouldn't be in SS so I didn't get that stuff from you! rats!
We went to Wendy's after church and then I spent the afternoon in my classroom doing last minute things. I found out I'm getting a new student that I didn't know about, so I got a desk ready for her. I have also been warned by 4 different people about one student....that's not good. Sometimes I'd rather just find out on my on. I'm pretty fun, but pretty firm too....so if you care to pray for me tonight and tomorrow I won't turn it down! Hey Valerie....I'm counting on ya! And BethAnne too!
I'm tired, my kids are tired, so I'm off to shower and get them to bed. I think it will be a good day tomorrow....praying to that end.

I am praying for you as you begin this new school year.
It always made me a little nervous when the preschool teachers would give me warnings about certain students coming my way.
The first years of school are so important. I loved teaching kindergarten.
The other day a young lady called our school and asked if we had space in our 4th grade. She didn't know who she was talking to and asked if Mrs. B.....(me) still worked there and I told her it was me. I haven't seen this young lady in years and years and I taught her in kindergarten and now her son is coming to our school.
How many students do you have?

I know you know this, but, give the "warned about" student a chance before you form an opinion. He may have a tough home life.

I think I was a student that teachers warned each other about --- hahahha just kidding (kinda)
I dont think they should have warned you about this kid - kind of not fair to him/her OR you.

I never liked being told about certain children before either. It drives me crazy really!
