Wonderful Wednesday

I'm over half way through my first week of school. Sweet little kids in my class. I got a new little girl this morning names "Anastasia". They are doing well and seem to be adjusting.

Pray for the Junior High Girl's basketball coach at the Airport Campus. He has learned he has colon cancer and will start treatments soon. He informed the school and his team that he would not be coaching this year. His name is Coach Anderson.

AWANA starts tonight at church. The kids always like AWANA. They are tired from school so I pray they do OK with the new schedule. Kids usually are resilent better than we adults!

I've been thinking a lot about children and what I learn from them. Today Anastasia was having trouble making the letter "I". I leaned over her desk to help her and she sweetly said " I like your nails". ( I have French tips on them). Compliments from a five year old. We are often to busy as adults to offer compliments but quick to offer criticism. A good lesson from a sweet girl.

People were bringing little children to Jesus to have him touch them, but the disciples rebuked them. When Jesus saw this,he was indignant. He said to them,"Let the little children come to me,and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.I tell you the truth, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it."And he took the children in his arms, put his hands on them and blessed them.Mark 10:13-16

Only a very wise person will admit that they can learn alot from a child.

I'm sure you're an excellent teacher.

I had to go "anonymous". I couldn't login to my blog name.

I just started Priscilla Shirer's Bible study at church yesterday morning, "He speaks to me" and that is her topic: how God spoke to Samuel, a boy, when all the adults had rebelled and turned away. It is with a child like heart that we seek HIM, hear HIM, and obey HIM!! Great post!! Glad all is going well at work and WW...good job. I'm glad your in Beth's study...I hope you share what you learn: it really did change my life.

God bless you, LuAnn. I'm putting the Sept. calander together next week so I'll be in touch about our "date".

God bless
